It is very rare that play will be missed due to wet weather.

The SSJCA has NOT cancelled play for Feb 6th.  All teams should proceed to the grounds where normal policies will apply on the state of the ground.

The following policies are in place to assist on day’s when the weather is poor.

All coaches, managers, parents and players should note that the SSJCA cancels matches as a last resort. Though it may be raining locally, other parts of the Shire may be dry. There are two essential rules that apply -

RULE 1
Unless advised by Coach or Manager that there is no play - proceed as usual, ready to start on time.

RULE 2
Parents or players are NOT to ring the Coach or manager. One of them will ring you if a match is cancelled. The importance of Rule 2. The procedure applying where rain leads to a cancellation is for the Association to ring the Club Secretary. The Secretary then rings all coaches and managers, in priority order, starting with the teams starting earliest and having the furthest distance to travel. The Secretary cannot afford to have coaches and managers tying up the telephone lines. Similarly coaches and managers need the line free to take the call from the secretary.
