This coming Sunday, 21st Feb, the Umpires are holding a photo day for their association, at Glenn McGrath Oval.

Bill Rigby will kindly offer his baggy green cap he has acquired, with signatures from the current Australian team and legends of the game, to be worn by any 14 year old or lower and have their photo taken with it. Please see below for the complete details.

It is important that the players turn up in their current playing attire, and have ready a gold coin donation for the Primary Club Charity.

Message from Bill Rigby

On Sunday 21st February at 8am, our Umpires Association is having a group photograph done at Caringbah Oval.

After the conclusion of the photographs, we are having morning tea. There will be approximately 100 of our members in attendance. From 8.30-9am onwards to 10am, I will have a baggy green given to me by the ACB in recognition of standing in a debut game at the SCG. It is signed by the current test players who I am familiar with, and also players of yesteryear, including Richie Benaud, Sam Loxton, Arthur Morris, Bob Simpson, Brian Booth, Neil Harvey and many more.

We intend to allow any junior cricketer with the consent of the ACB to have their photograph taken in cricket attire wearing the baggy green. This is for anyone under 14.

Those over 14 to 16 year olds, can have the photograph taken with the baggy green in their hands, not worn.

A donation would be appreciated from each individual, either a gold coin or indeed any amount would be appreciated. The money raised will go to the Primary Club Charities for children with disabilities participating in sport.

Obviously it would be beneficial if parents brought their own cameras, and as the boys and girls moved through, the parents would take the picture at the appropriate time.
